THe Poozies

“The Gunna Sound Ceilidh Band led by Campbell Brown & Johnny Scoular are one of the very best ceilidh bands in Scotland – nobody would argue with that” Angus MacPhail, Skipinnish

Contemporary Scottish folk band, The Poozies, have been pushing musical boundaries for over 30 years. They are famous for exhilarating sets of original tunes and an eclectic mix of songs, all bursting with energy, seduction, rascality and invention.

The band is anchored by the glorious bass of the electro-harp and swings expertly between innovative tune sets featuring monster twin fiddles and powerful, punchy guitar, and a diverse range of songs with delectable 5-string banjo and luscious vocal harmonies.

“..a mischevious mix of musical mayhem, spellbinding showcase instrumentals and probably some frogs legs to boot… unencumbered by conventional folk idioms” Jon Bennet,
